TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DOG DAY CARE SERVICES AT THE BARK PARK, RIDDING LANE, WHALLEY

1. The Client agrees that, in admitting their dog, THE BARK PARK relies on the Client’s representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour toward any person or any other dog at any time. If your dog is showing signs of being unwell, please contact the centre as soon as possible and keep your dog at home until the symptoms pass.
2. All dogs will be subject to an initial assessment by THE BARK PARK staff prior to attending day care for the first time. Upon completion of our assessment, we will discuss our assessment findings with the Client, indicating either a pass or a failure. THE BARK PARK reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog deemed in their absolute discretion to be, or have the potential to be, dangerous or disruptive. Any other legitimate reasons for admission refusal are made in the best interest of your dog(s) and the others in our care.
3. THE BARK PARK reserves the right to segregate initially, or at any subsequent time, any dog which appears to be nervous, frightened or otherwise uncomfortable in the presence of other dogs. THE BARK PARK will notify the Client in such an event and discuss options for future day care sessions.
4. The Client agrees to notify THE BARK PARK immediately of any recent unwelcome, aggressive, procreative, or dangerous behaviour of their dog that has potential to cause harm to any other dog or individual.
5. THE BARK PARK is a place where dogs co-mingle in groups. All dog play is carefully monitored at THE BARK PARK to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries could occur, despite the best supervision, as a result of normal dog play and activities. By signing this form, the Client hereby agrees to indemnify THE BARK PARK and their employees against any / all claims, as well as waive and release THE BARK PARK and their employees from any / all liability from any injuries, accidents or damages which their dog(s) may suffer, which may arise from their attendance and participation in any / all sessions and services provided by THE BARK PARK.
6. THE BARK PARK is covered by an active pet business insurance policy. The Client hereby agrees that only on an occasion where an animal has sustained an injury, received damage or had an accident arising from their attendance and participation in any / all provided sessions and services, THE BARK PARK can only make a claim on their insurance policy ONLY where it is evident that THE BARK PARK and / or any of its employees are at fault.
7. The Client authorises the staff of THE BARK PARK to seek veterinary advice and / or treatment where they deem necessary; the client accepts that the staff of THE BARK PARK will use THE BARK PARK’s vets, Town & Country Vets, Whalley, and give full consent to Town & Country Vets, Whalley to treat their pet.
8. THE BARK PARK reserves the right to refuse admission if the Client fails to provide adequate proof of vaccinations, or the vaccinations are found to be expired or otherwise incomplete. We require an up-to-date copy of your vaccination certificate EVERY time your dog receives his boosters.
9. The Client accepts that even though their dog is vaccinated against Bordetella (Kennel Cough), there is a chance that their dog can still contract a variant of Kennel Cough. The Client agrees that they will not hold THE BARK PARK responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending THE BARK PARK. 

10. The Client agrees to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The Client further agrees to notify THE BARK PARK immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. THE BARK PARK reserves the right to refuse admission until satisfied that the condition is resolved.
11. The Client agrees to ensure their dog has eaten at least 2 hours before arrival at THE BARK PARK to ensure 
sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion). You may feed your dog a smaller amount of breakfast than normal and bring the rest to THE BARK PARK, where our staff will feed your dog the rest over the morning as training treats.
12. All male dogs must be neutered to attend THE BARK PARK, once they reach one-year-old. We can however accept entire males if they have received the male implant chip or contraceptive injection (please consult with your vet and dog day care regarding this). Un-spayed bitches are allowed to attend THE BARK PARK, BUT ONLY on the understanding that they do not attend when in season. Bitches who show signs of starting their season whilst in THE BARK PARK will have to collected as soon as possible and will only be able to return once their season has passed.
13. We expect all customers to understand that THE BARK PARK must be a safe environment for dogs to play, learn and be cared for. If your dog attacks another causing harm, your dog will be expelled from day care. Mitigating circumstances may allow us to suspend your dog for remedial training or for reassessment after neutering.
14. THE BARK PARK holds insurance for Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Employers Liability and Care Custody & Control of Dogs. A full copy of our insurance can be viewed at any time.
15. At THE BARK PARK, we have a strict dog to staff ratio of 10:1 and as such require at least 24 hours’ notice for a request for day care, or a cancellation. I understand that I will be charged 100% of the daily fee for ‘no-shows’.
16. I understand that the hours of operation are 8am-6pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm Fridays, and a late fee charge of £5 for every 15 minutes after 6pm is in force.
17. All dog fees must be paid in full at the time of invoicing at the end of each calendar month.
18. All dogs are required to wear an appropriate play collar of cotton or nylon or a harness. No chain collars allowed.
19. Data protection – THE BARK PARK shall not use or pass to a third party any information relating to the client, their property or pet(s). All data will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
